Very quiet at the south end this morning. Still 49 Whooper Swans on the fields with 11 Mute Swans, 700 Golden Plovers and 170 Lapwings. Also seen were 2 Little Grebes, 3 Coots, 20 Teal, Common Snipe, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel. On the outmarsh and shore were 40 Snow Buntings, 12 Reed Buntings, 5 Yellowhammers, 7 Rock Pipits, 13 Skylarks, 16 Linnets, 32 Bar-tailed Godwits and 500 Knot. A Red-throated Diver flew north at sea.
