A circuit of the realignment area and the shore between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall produced some interesting counts.   Waders were 950 Oystercatchers, 190 Redshanks, 150 Lapwings, 340 Golden Plovers, 110 Grey Plovers, 120 Sanderlings, 450 Dunlin, 150 Knot, 132 Curlews and 10 Bar-tailed Godwits.   Wildfowl were 940 Brent Geese, Black Brant, 2 Mute Swans, 245 Shelducks, 54 Mallard, 47 Teal and 6 Wigeon.   Other birds of note were 9 Little Egrets, Grey Heron, 6 Cormorants, 6 Little Grebes, 2 Grey Partridges, Sparrowhawk, Song Thrush, 95 Reed Buntings, 26 Corn Buntings, 8 Lapland Buntings, 70 Skylarks, 30 Rock Pipits and 12 Goldfinches.
