On or over the fields at the south end this morning were 1,100 Golden Plovers, 45 Lapwings, 62 Mallard, 3 Common Buzzards, one Marsh Harrier, 2 Kestrels and 70 Skylarks. A further 110 Skylarks also passed to the north. Highlights on the dunes were 15 Blackbirds, 12 Redwings, 2 Ring Ouzels, one Yellow-browed Warbler, one Chiffchaff, 50 Goldcrests, one Water Rail and 2 Pintail.
At sea just after the high tide, moving south were 56 Gannets, 220 Herring Gulls, 5 Great Skuas, one Pomarine Skua, one Sooty Shearwater, 6 auks sp. and 2 Red-throated Divers. Onshore were 7 Cormorants, 19 Curlews, 18 Oystercatchers, 57 Sanderlings, 8 Dunlin and 3 Rock Pipits.
