Drizzle and mist were hardly conducive to any good observations at the south end.   On the flashes and marshes were 17 Mute Swans, 26 Mallard, 28 Tufted Ducks, 70 Teal, 2 Shelducks, 11 Coots, 4 Little Grebes, 5 Grey Herons, 5 Little Egrets, 15 Curlews, 11 Redshanks and one Rock Pipit.   Other birds of note included 3 Corn Buntings, 30 Linnets, one Brambling, 10 Goldfinches and a Chiffchaff.
