The change in the wind ensured a quiet start to the new month.   Grounded migrants included 12 Robins, 3 Song Thrushes, 45 Meadow Pipits, 2 Whinchats and 2 Wheatears.   Other birds of interest were 9 Swallows, Grey Wagtail, Water Rail, 9 Grey Partridges, 2 Common Buzzards, 2 Kestrels, 33 Curlews, 80 Oystercatchers, 60 Sanderlings, 46 Lapwings, 70 Golden Plovers, Common Sandpiper, 3 Little Stints, Mediterranean Gull and 3 Common Scoters.
