Pink-footed Geese

                                                 38 Whooper Swans and 4 Mute Swans

      15 Whooper Swans on the fields were later joined by a further 23 Whoopers and 4 Mute Swans.   120 Pink-footed Geese flew south and 57 Canada Geese and a Greylag Goose flew across to Somercotes Warren.   Highlights on the dunes were 22 Blackbirds, a Mistle Thrush, 4 Song Thrushes, 3 Redwings, 15 Robins, 4 Goldcrests, Blackcap, 18 Chaffinches, 16 Yellowhammers, 18 Reed Buntings, Tree Sparrow and 20 Long-tailed Tits.    Birds onshore were 650 Oystercatchers, 500 Dunlin, 100 Sanderlings, 53 Curlews and 2 Rock Pipits.
