      A slight decrease of swans on the fields at the south end with 39 Whoopers and 11 Mute Swans present.   Also seen on the fields were 230 Golden Plovers, 32 Lapwings, 25 Curlews, 16 Redshanks, 30 Meadow Pipits, Grey Heron, 2 Little Egrets, Kestrel and Common Buzzard.
      It was very cold with a hard frost, but one small patch of open water on Beacon Flash held 8 Little Grebes, 4 Coots and 2 Teal.   A Jack Snipe was flushed closeby.   On the outmarsh were 40 Skylarks, 2 Lapland Buntings, 12 Reed Buntings, 25 Linnets, 17 Goldfinches, Lesser Redpoll, 6 Rock Pipits and 130 Brent Geese while farther out on the mudflats were 82 Grey Plovers, 260 Dunlin, 110 Sanderlings, 6 Ringed Plovers, Cormorant and a Peregrine.
      6 Fieldfares and 2 Sparrowhawks flew south over the dunes and a third Sparrowhawk flew SW inland.
