  There was very little of note at the south end today. 10 Mute Swans, 7 Wigeon, 5 Teal, 4 Tufted Ducks, 2 Little Grebes, 29 Curlews, 50 Dunlin, 12 Oystercatchers, one Cormorant, 2 Grey Partridges, one Kestrel, 8 Skylarks and the only thrush of the day, a Song Thrush.

Between Stonebridge and Pye's hall today there were not many birds of note in the strong and gusty wind. 330 Brent Geese, 94 Shelducks, 36 Teal, 2 Little Grebes, 3 Little Egrets, 850 Knot, 50 Dunlin, 42 Golden Plovers, 71 Lapwings, 38 Curlews, 14 Redshanks, one Black-tailed Godwit, one Sparrowhawk, one Common Buzzard, 4 Blackbirds, 92 Fieldfares, 3 Redwings, 40 Goldfinches, one Brambling, 9 Skylarks and 6 Rock Pipits.

Birds at Quad 3 this morning were 27 dark-bellied Brent Geese, 5 pale-bellied Brent Geese, 48 Wigeon, 4 Teal, 7 Mute Swans, 46 Golden Plovers, one Lapwing, 24 Curlews, 148 Dunlin, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits, 19 Turnstones, one Cormorant, 135 Fieldfares, 45 Redwings, 5 Blackbirds, 35 Goldfinches, 4 Linnets, 34 Skylarks, 2 Meadow Pipits, one Rock Pipit, 200 Starlings, 2 Woodcocks and a Sparrowhawk.

Not a lot between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall in the very cold and blustery conditions. 440 Brent Geese, 24 Shelducks, 4 Mallard, one Gadwall, 85 Teal, 3 Knot, 70 Golden Plovers, 11 Lapwings, one Common Snipe, 2 Woodcocks, 4 Curlews, 25 Redshanks, 5 Turnstones, 16 Cormorants, one Little Grebe, 2 Little Egrets, one Merlin, 30 Goldfinches, 20 Linnets, one Brambling, 15 Rock Pipits, 7 Redwings, one Song Thrush, 4 Fieldfares, 4 Blackbirds and 300 Starlings.

Was a noisy scrunch around Quad 3 this morning. A few thrushes were apparent, however, hence 9 Blackbirds, 3 Song Thrushes, 51 Fieldfares and 28 Redwings. Also of note were 13 Goldfinches, 14 Linnets, 4 Meadow Pipits, 17 Skylarks, Pied Wagtail, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, 6 Coots, 26 Curlews, 10 Bar-tailed Godwits, 50 Sanderlings, 7 Oystercatchers and 15 Cormorants

 Fairly quiet at Quad 3 today. 177 Bar-tailed Godwits, 95 Curlews, 48 Oystercatchers, 180 Knot, 5 Redshanks, 146 Lapwings, Grey Plover, 32 Cormorants, 580 Brent Geese, 3 Eiders, 6 Common Scoters, 3 Red-throated Divers, Little Egret, 5 Rock Pipits and a Peregrine. No small waders, Skylarks, Wrens, tits or thrushes noted.

   It was a lovely morning weatherwise, but practically no wind and no cloud was matched by practically no birds. The only items worthy of note for the blog were 7 Cormorants, 6 Red-throated Divers, 6 Mallard, 3 Teal, a Wigeon, 58 Curlews, 6 Redshanks, 6 Blackbirds, 68 Goldfinches and a Little Egret.

 On 2nd in the Stonebridge area there were 630 Lapwings, 300 Golden Plovers, 9 Curlews, 12 Turnstones, 130 Brent Geese and 23 Shelducks. Quad 3 today was not much better with 68 Cormorants, Red-throated Diver, 8 Teal, 63 Curlews, 40 Bar-tailed Godwits, 22 Oystercatchers, 4 Grey Plovers, 6 Knot, 15 Goldfinches, 2 Song Thrushes, Mistle Thrush and Goldcrest.

Between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall were 125 Redshanks, 1,300 Knot, 800 Lapwings, 37 Curlews, 380 Oystercatchers, 230 Bar-tailed Godwits, 250 Dunlin, 10 Grey Plovers, 100 Golden Plovers, 40 Sanderlings, 25 Turnstones, 140 Pink-footed Geese, 3 Greylag Geese, 200 Brent Geese, 55 Shelducks, 60 Mallard, 54 Teal, 2 Little Grebes, 2 Little Egrets, 13 Cormorants, Red-throated Diver, 42 Rock Pipits, 4 Reed Buntings, 40 Goldfinches and 3 Twite. Also, there was a Waxwing in MJ's garden.
