Very little was seen at the south end in this afternoon's gale.   Numbers were generally meaningless.   Items of note were 21 Mallard, 12 Tufted Ducks, 6 Teal, 7 Little Egrets, 2 Whimbrel, 2 Common Swifts and singles of Wheatear, Common Snipe and Common Buzzard.
