Birds at the north end recorded by Chris Atkin between the RAF base and the north end of the realignment area included a Little Stint, Lapland Bunting, 6 Gannets, 122 Pink-footed Geese, 25 Common Scoters, 3 Pintail, 16 Greenshanks, 3 Common Buzzards, Common Tern, Guillemot, Kingfisher, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Grey Wagtail, Redstart, 8 Long-tailed Tits, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrests and a Jay.
