An afternoon around the realignment area was disappointing.   Highlights were 6 Avocets, 3+ Whimbrels, 30 Redshanks, 5 Greenshanks, 2 Common Snipe,  270 Golden Plovers, 30 Little Egrets, 6 Grey Herons, 10 Cormorants, 11 Little Grebes, Water Rail, 2 Kingfishers, 2 Common Buzzards, 2 Sparrowhawks, Kestrel, Merlin, Peregrine, 220 Linnets, 120 Swallows, Sand Martin, 4 House Martins, Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Common Whitethroats, 2 Willow Warblers, Common Redstart and 2 Goldcrests.   On the shore were 450 Oystercatchers, 25 Curlews, and 25 Grey Plovers.  A party of 16 Common Terns flew south at sea.
