1,800 Golden Plovers, 57 Lapwings and 2,500 Starlings were on the fields at the south end.   Birds on the flashes included 4 Kingfishers, 8 Teal, 2 Wigeon and a Water Rail.   Fewer migrants were seen on the dunes, hence 20 Robins, 15 Blackbirds, 4 Song Thrushes, 6 Redwings, 20 Goldcrests, one Chiffchaff and one Stonechat.    Also noted were 3 Lesser Redpolls, 40 Greenfinches, 15 Chaffinches, 16 Long-tailed Tits, 10 Tree Sparrows and one House Sparrow.    On the shore were 25 Brent Geese, 120 Sanderlings, 40 Dunlin, 12 Oystercatchers and 26 Curlews.
