A wet morning at Donna Nook.

                                                                       Common Swift.

                                                           Corn Bunting still feeding young.

A wet and windy morning resulted in only limited numbers of migrants being seen in the bushes at the south end.   10 Willow Warblers were noted with 4 Common Whitethroats and singles of Chiffchaff, Grasshopper Warbler, Spotted Flycatcher, Pied Flycatcher and Common Redstart.   Also of note were 65 Goldfinches, 5 Common Swifts and the first Coal Tit of the year.   Raptors today were just 5 Kestrels, a Sparrowhawk and a Marsh Harrier.   5 Ruffs flew south and birds on the flashes included 4 Greenshanks, 9 Redshanks, 2 Green Sandpipers and 6 Little Egrets.
