A wet morning at Donna Nook.
Common Swift.
Corn Bunting still feeding young.
A wet and windy morning resulted in only limited numbers of migrants being seen in the bushes at the south end. 10 Willow Warblers were noted with 4 Common Whitethroats and singles of Chiffchaff, Grasshopper Warbler, Spotted Flycatcher, Pied Flycatcher and Common Redstart. Also of note were 65 Goldfinches, 5 Common Swifts and the first Coal Tit of the year. Raptors today were just 5 Kestrels, a Sparrowhawk and a Marsh Harrier. 5 Ruffs flew south and birds on the flashes included 4 Greenshanks, 9 Redshanks, 2 Green Sandpipers and 6 Little Egrets.
