Birds on the fields included 2 Common Buzzards, Kestrel, 42 Whooper Swans, 12 Mute Swans, 56 Curlews,  255 Golden Plovers and 77 Lapwings.   On the dunes were 150 Teal, 2 Little Grebes, 4 Little Egrets, Mistle Thrush, 2 Song Thrushes, Grey Wagtail and 28 Goldfinches.    3 Goldeneye and a Cormorant flew south at sea and there was an excellent count of 322 Sanderlings on the mudflats.
      In the afternoon, a visit to Stonebridge added 55 Redshanks, 2 Turnstones, 30 Dunlin, 40 Knot, 46 Skylarks, 18 Shelducks and 24 Brent Geese.
