Pallas's Warbler
Pallas's Warbler, Donna Nook 10th October 2010
Friday, 6 December 2013
What a mess! There are seals everywhere, including in the buckthorn, in the flashes and the grazing areas and inside the sea-bank. All the targets and markers have been washed away and large sections have been bitten out of the dunes. Two diesel generators, each the size of a 4x4 vehicle have been washed into the North Flash and up to now are not leaking. I was unable to reach parts of my regular area and in consequence only recorded bits. 64 Brent Geese, 35 Lapwings, Heron, Little Egret, 4 Grey Partridges, 13 Twite and a Redwing. Phil Espin at Pye's Hall recorded 20 Rock Pipits, 15 Lapland Buntings and a Hen Harrier.
