All ready for some high Arctic festive cheer. With the present southerly blow, I would have thought that the Ivory Gull would smell our seals. Meanwhile, between Pye's Hall and Stonebridge this morning, there were 850 Lapwings, 400 Golden Plovers, 157 Redshanks, 7 Curlews, 350 Oystercatchers, 280 Dunlin, one Turnstone, one Common Snipe, 7 Brent Geese, 20 Common Scoters, 260 Teal, 54 Shelducks, 3 Cormorants, 10 Little Egrets, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Peregrine, Hen Harrier, 5 Rock Pipits, 10 Lapland Buntings, 22 Reed Buntings, 4 Twite, 30 Goldfinches, 48 Skylarks and a Redwing.
