                                              Some record shots of the Black Kite.

         The first Donna Nook record of a Black Kite came in from SE at 1205 and wheeled over the marshes and flashes, then gained considerable height and eventually departed to the NW at 1213.   Four Swallows also passed to the north. 
         Birds on the flashes included 15 Mute Swans, 20 Tufted Ducks, 30 Teal, 15 Mallard, 14 Coots, 5 Little Egrets, 7 Redshanks and a Water Rail.   Also of note were 2 Chiffchaffs, the first Willow Warbler, Song Thrush, 11 Twite, 2 Kestrels and a Common Buzzard.
