A Willow Tit gradually moving south with Blue Tits was the first record for ten years. Also on the southern dunes were 70 Meadow Pipits, 60 Linnets, Brambling, 2 Pied Wagtails, Stonechat, 5 Song Thrushes, 3 Robins, 55 Lapwings and a Water Rail.
On the mudflats were 35 Oystercatchers, 50 Sanderlings, 230 Dunlin and 23 Curlews. 15 Brent Geese flew north at sea, while to the south were 50 Brent Geese, 16 Pink-footed Geese, 30 Wigeon and 50 Teal. Other parties of duck passed south, but were not identifiable from the dunes.
The Firecrest was still present in my garden.
