The seawatch was better today. Between 0930 and 1130, moving north were 85 Wigeon, 46 Teal, 12 Common Scoters, 7 Gannets, 4 Cormorants and 2 Red-throated Divers while to the south were 61 Sandwich Terns, 3 Arctic Terns, 88 Common Terns, 11 Arctic Skuas, 3 Great Skuas, a Fulmar, a Pintail and an Eider. Birds onshore included a further 44 Sandwich Terns, 8 more Cormorants, 66 Curlews, a Whimbrel, 15 Bar-tailed Godwits, 4 Ringed Plovers, 5 Sanderlings, 30 Dunlin and 2 Oystercatchers. The landward side was poor in the freshening wind, hence 7 Redshanks, Common Sandpiper, Wheatear, Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel and Common Buzzard.
