Pallas's Warbler

Pallas's Warbler
Pallas's Warbler, Donna Nook 10th October 2010

Thursday 12 June 2014

11th June:- a fine Wood Warbler trapped and ringed at 0755, but more remarkable was the retrapping of the Icterine Warbler which had been ringed on 30th May and then released into my garden.   It had managed to return to the same patch of bushes on the dunes.   Also of note were 7 Long-tailed Tits, Sedge Warbler, 9 Little Egrets and an adult Spoonbill.   In the late morning and afternoon, a visit to Pye's Hall and around the realignment area added 40 Shelducks, 2 Shovelers, 15 more Little Egrets, 4 Cuckoos, 2 Common Buzzards, 25 Swifts and a Quail.

12th:- at the south end were 9 Little Egrets, 500 Starlings, 2 Hobbies, Common Buzzard, 3 Kestrels, Turtle Dove, 5 Cuckoos, 10 Corn Buntings, 48 Stock Doves, Lapwing and a Mistle Thrush.
