On the fields at the south end were 25 Whooper Swans, 50 Curlews, a Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrels and a Barn Owl.   Birds on the flashes included 22 Mallard, 115 Teal, 16 Tufted Ducks, Little Egret, Grey Heron, 7 Coots and 3 Little Grebes.   Ca. 20 Twite on the outmarsh with 2 Rock Pipits, Pied Wagtail, 9 Golden Plovers and 24 Redshanks.   150 Skylarks were recorded.
