Only a short visit to the south end this morning ahead of the heavy rain which began at 1000.   The usual 33 Whooper Swans and 19 Mute Swans were present on the fields.   Other birds of note included 80 Curlews, 4 Cormorants, 2 Little Egrets, 20 Blackbirds, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Snow Bunting.
