The highlight of the day was a juvenile Green Woodpecker at Pye's Hall - the fifth record for Donna Nook. The earlier ones all involved single birds on 31st August 1968, 11th October 1986, 6th December 2006 and 31st July 2010.

Other birds noted include 16 Kestrels, 15 Swifts, two Cuckoos, 17 Teal, 5 Reed Warblers, 6 Willow Warblers, 19 Whitethroats, one Blackcap, 2 Marsh Harriers, 2 Sparrowhawks, 1 Greenshank, 1 Common Sandpiper and 3 Pied Flycatchers (one at Pye's and 2 at Quad 3). Three juvenile grey Herons came in from the sea and continued SW inland.
