Sunday 24th
Not a very productive day the best being just 35 Shelducks, one Peregrine, one Sandwich Tern, 6 Little Egrets and 21 Swifts.

Saturday 23rd

The wind certainly made everything hard work today. Nonetheless, the best birds were 19 Sandwich Terns, one Common Tern, 3 Gannets, one Arctic Skua, ca.31 Common Scoters, one Cormorant, one Peregrine, 58 Swifts, 2 Cuckoos 11 Curlews and one Turtle Dove. All the Swifts came in from the mouth of the river, then split and continued NW or SW in almost equal numbers. The skua, which was dark-phased, and the earliest ever autumn bird by 7 days. It passed to the south.
